OCEANSIDE -- Ruth A. McLaren, 86, died Monday, Jan. 27, 2003, of natural causes.
Born June 28, 1916, in McMinnville, Tenn., she lived in Oceanside for 42 years. She retired in the early 1980s as a claims examiner for the Social Security Administration. She traveled extensively.
Mrs. McLaren is survived by her husband of 46 years, Archie McLaren of Oceanside; and daughter Susan C. Musser of San Francisco.
Private cremation and scattering at sea are planned.
Oceanside Mortuary is handling arrangements.
