LUZ MARIA BOSOMWORTH (NEE RIVERO) In the afternoon on August 6th 2009 at home, as she desired, with her family at her side Luz peacefully left this world. During the two and a half years of fighting breast cancer, Luz strived to make as much as she could of her remaining time. Travel was one of her joys and in that time she went to England, Paris, a final trip for a month to her beloved Buenos Aires where she was born, a road trip to Charlotte NC for a wedding and a few trips to Buffalo with her shopping buddies. In spite of often not feeling well, Luz pushed to make the trip to Muskoka to be at Sally Port, our cottage that was so much her creation. She loved being there if only able to sit on the couch enjoying the view, the activities going on around her and her friends, family and North Tobin neighbours. Luz had an energy, spirit and love of life that is already missed by many. She was the dedicated and compassionate mother of Melanie. She loved and is loved by her husband Rob. Her two extended families, Bosomworth's in Canada and Martinez-Vivot's in Argentina all feel this great loss. Luz was supported so much by her three closest friends, Bradley, Cathy and Maria who loved her so caringly. And there are many friends who will miss terribly this vibrant, full of life lady. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday August 12th at CHRIST CHURCH DEER PARK, 1570 Yonge Street (at Heath Street), Toronto. If desired, donations in Luz's memory can be made to the Temmy Latner Centre for Palliative Care, Mount Sinai Hospital, 60 Murray Street, 4th Floor, Toronto, M5G 1X5, www.tlcpc.org. |
